About HVAC.Photos

HVAC.Photos is a Vancouver-based marketing service that helps Canadian HVAC companies capture, protect and publish real photos of their own work. Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads it.

Written by Ali Sedighi, MBALast updated:

HVAC.Photos exists because the most persuasive marketing asset most heating and cooling companies own is sitting unused in their technicians' camera rolls. We help companies across Canada capture that work properly, ask homeowners first, and publish the results on their websites and Google profiles. We are a Canadian marketing service headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies.

What we are, and what we are not

HVAC.Photos sells marketing and business advice to heating and cooling companies, nothing more. We are not an HVAC contractor. We don't install, repair or service furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air conditioners or water heaters, and we never send anyone to work on equipment.

We are also not a stock photo agency or a studio that sells shoots. The camera stays with your crews, or with a local photographer you hire. Our work is the system around it: what to shoot, how to ask, how to edit and file, and where each image should go.

Three principles shape everything we do:

  • Real work only. No stock, generated or borrowed images presented as your jobs.
  • Permission first. No photo of a customer's home is published without a recorded yes.
  • Honest captions. We describe what the photos and job notes show, and nothing more.

Ali Sedighi, MBA

Ali Sedighi leads HVAC.Photos and is the strategist you work with directly. He holds an MBA in Technology Management and has 17+ years of digital marketing experience, beginning in 2007, when he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency. He now lives and works in Vancouver.

Ali has built 150+ live HVAC websites, including CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca, Roma Heating & Cooling and HeatLand. His other ventures include Conv.ca, which he started as a conversion-rate optimisation agency, and MyAutomation.ca; at SAZ.ca he serves as Founder and Managing Partner. His clients are in Canada, the USA and Dubai.

Building that many HVAC sites taught a simple lesson about images: pages built around a company's own installs read as more credible than pages built around generic scenes, and the hardest part is not the photography but the habit of capturing and organising it. HVAC.Photos is built around that habit.

The group behind us

HVAC.Photos belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group. Sedighi.ca is the consulting company through which Ali runs growth, marketing and technology work; HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca are among its brands. SAZ.ca, short for Strategy and Acceleration Zone, is the group's Canadian firm for strategy, AI and revenue growth, with Sedighi.ca providing its strategic leadership.

In practice, that means photo work rarely sits alone. When a gallery needs a faster website, or a Google profile needs a review programme alongside its photos, the rest of the group's HVAC marketing work is available through the same plans.

How we work

We put every plan in writing, so you always know what is planned and why.

  1. Review. You send a sample of recent job photos, your website and your Google profile. We look for what is usable, what is risky and what is missing.
  2. Plan. We write the shot lists, consent routine, naming pattern and publishing plan for your crews and tools, with costs stated up front.
  3. Brief. A short video call with your technicians and office staff, and a one-page field guide they can keep on their phones.
  4. Run. A weekly selection of new photo sets, edited and published to your site and profile, with monthly reporting.

Everything we create in your accounts belongs to you: the photos, the gallery pages, the profile and the guides. See the FAQ for more on ownership and contracts.

Where we work

We work with HVAC companies in all 10 provinces and 3 territories. Climate, fuel mix and language all change what good HVAC photography looks like, from heat pumps in Prairie snow to French captions for Quebec customers. The areas page covers each region.

Talk to us

The quickest way to see whether we can help is to send us a few photos. Explore the services and results first if you prefer, then call, text or email. You will reach Ali, not a sales queue.
